THE WORLD IS COMING TO A END, EVAN HAS LEFT THE BAND....

The following message is from Evan, for all the fans and fansites:
"The last three years have been some of the best in my life. I couldn't have done any of it without the amazing support of all of my awesome fans. You all have been the best fans in the world and I appreciate all that you have given me, I consider every one of you a friend. I look forward to this next step in my life and career and hope you will all come along for the ride. Its gonna be fun!
See you soon, Evan".

Yeah, this is now official and we are able to let you know, Evan is definately leaving Avril's band. His last performances with her were yesterday night for the Maxim Party and Letterman show, so that means he is NOT gonna be a part of the whole Avril's Bonez tour.
After 3 years being the "lead guitarist" of Avril Lavigne's band, Evan will finally make his own project (his band, own music) and could be completely devoted to it, in the next couple of weeks. During the past years, travelling all over the World, Evan learnt more about how the music industry works, meeting important persons, and now he has this great experience in mind. It's definately going to help him in the future, to make true his projects.

Don't Call Me Punk, Singer Avril Lavigne Warns
By Dean Goodman

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - When Canadian singer Avril Lavigne burst on the scene two years ago, the teen starlet's feisty demeanor proved a refreshing change from the packaged pop of sex kittens like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Lavigne not only actually sang live, she also played guitar, at the helm of a scrappy-looking band that played its instruments too. She dressed in baggy clothes and sneakers and looked grumpy, the perfect image of a rebellious teen.

People started calling her a punk rocker, which would be considered the ultimate accolade in many quarters, but they forgot to check in with her first.

"You know what's so gay is, like, all these journalists are, like (saying in faux hushed reverence), 'Avril Lavigne's punk and she's a rebel and she does punk rock music,"' Lavigne, 19, said in a recent interview, using the word gay as a slang synonym for stupid.

"It's like, 'OK, how stupid are you? ... Do you even know what punk is?' I am certainly not punk, and I hate it when people try to say that I am."

Just call her a rock singer, instead. Which should be pretty obvious from listening to her new album, "Under My Skin," released worldwide this week.

Whereas her 2002 debut, "Let Go," which sold about 14 million copies worldwide, was a cheerful pop effort highlighted by such hit singles as "Sk8er Boi" and "Complicated," the follow-up is a darker, deeper effort, as its title suggests.

"Sometimes I don't know what to do but write when I'm feeling a little upset or moody, or if I'm bored. I just pick up my guitar and talk about or write about what's going on, what's on my mind, what's under my skin," she said with one of many frequent bursts of laughter undermining her sullen image.

JUST SAY NO

The first single, "Don't Tell Me," is a clarion call for modesty and self-respect in an age when "most songs out there are about banging and t--s and ass and chicks," Lavigne says.

She wrote her "girl power" song two years ago when she had just dropped out of high school, and was already well versed in the wiles of frisky guys. As she states in one of the stanzas, "Don't think that your charm and the fact that your arm is now around my neck will get you in my pants."

Her parents should probably get a songwriting credit, having raised in her a conservative, churchgoing household in the Canadian town of Napanee, Ontario, midway between Toronto and Montreal. Lavigne sang in church but always wanted to be a rock star.

She signed to Arista Records when she was 16, and went through several creative teams before she and the production trio dubbed the Matrix nailed down a sound that was more rock than the country pop originally envisaged.

"Let Go," debuted at No. 8 on the U.S. pop albums chart in June 2002, and peaked at No. 2 seven months later. It has sold more than 6 million copies in the United States, and an additional 8 million internationally.

Of the singles, "Complicated" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Sk8er Boi" at No. 10, and "I'm With You."

The middle song, a love triangle involving a punk rock kid, the neighborhood girl who was too good for him and the lucky woman who snared the newly crowned superstar, is being turned into a feature at Paramount Pictures. Lavigne says the movie idea is "lame" and she has nothing to do with it.

NO SONGS ABOUT BOIS

Writing mostly with Canadian pop singer Chantal Kreviazuk on the new album, Lavigne shares her insecurities and fears in such tracks as "Take Me Away" and "How Does It Feel." She rakes over doomed relationships in "Together" and "My Happy Ending," and pays tribute to her late grandfather in the closing track, "Slipped Away." But the overall tone is defiant, summed up by the call to "freak out and let it go" in the tune "Freak Out."

(And, for the record, none of the songs are about rumored relationships -- which she hotly denies -- with her former guitarist Jesse Colburn or, more recently, with Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley; she said she is currently unattached.)

Lavigne started promoting the album two months ago when she undertook a free tour of shopping malls, the second home of her core demographic. The big question is whether those fans will turn out to buy the new record. Judging by her evolving music tastes, Lavigne is over the teen thing. Apart from a few young punk rock bands like Rancid, the Distillers and NOFX, she says modern music mostly "sucks."

She's more excited by a misunderstood rocker from an earlier era, a framed picture of whom will soon grace a wall of her little Toronto condominium. "About a year ago, I started listening to Janis Joplin, and I love her ... She's so cool."

They agree Napanee’s ‘boring’
Townies back Avril

Sun Media

NAPANEE, Ont. — The reaction here in Napanee to Avril Lavigne’s latest criticism of her hometown?

Well, let’s just say it’s complicated.

Needless to say, the headline on the front page of yesterday’s Kingston Whig-Standard reading “Avril Slags home — again” raised a few eyebrows in this town between Belleville and Kingston. “I was kind of disappointed,” Mayor Gord Schermerhorn told the Sun.

He was reacting to quotes attributed to the 19-year-old world superstar in Blender magazine, where she described Napanee as dead as disco with nothing to do.

“It’s just a little town where everybody knows everybody and everybody’s business and there’s nothing to do except get drunk,” Lavigne, whose hits include Complicated, Sk8er Boi and I’m With You was quoted as saying.

The mayor was hurt for a variety of reasons.

“I have grown up here my whole life and there is more to do in Napanee than to get drunk,” he said.

In fact, part of what upset him was the timing of the story — on the very day yesterday the town proudly held its opening ceremony for its new $9.8-million twin pad arena and community centre called the Strathcona Paper Centre. “This project is for everybody,” he said, adding it’s up to each individual to decide how they want to spend their time.

As for Avril, he said, “We are very proud of her and her accomplishments” but they just disagree on this issue.

But around town, very few are angry with the multi-platinum rocker. Mark Bradshaw, a former Lavigne classmate, said he’s glad Avril said it. “She’s telling the truth. It is pretty dead,” he teases. “I back her up.”

Karyn Roantree, 16, a talented singer herself who once attended a vocal camp with Lavigne, said she understands how the star feels.

“It’s a pretty boring place.”

A MOTHER'S LOVE

At the house where she grew up, Avril’s mom Judy just laughed. “She’s a kid and she’s living in the big city now,” she said. “And this (kind of rock magazine interview) is just part of what goes with (success).”

Behind the glare of the spotlight, Judy said, Avril loves her hometown.

Her daughter is away most of the time and she doesn’t get to talk to her every day.

“I do miss her,” she said. “They do work her pretty hard.”

What’s the real Avril like? As her mom says, it’s complicated. The

DERYCK TO PLAY CARMEN ELECTRAS LOVE INTREST...

From MTV.com:

After being linked with Paris Hilton and Avril Lavigne, Sum 41's Deryck Whibley is hooking up with Carmen Electra next. The only difference is that this romance is for a movie. Whibley plays Electra's love interest in "Dirty Love," which goes into production next week. The film also stars and was written by Jenny McCarthy.

Here is some more info I found about the movie:

Beverly Hills Film Studios has signed Joel David Moore, one of the leads in this year's summer blockbuster, "Dodgeball," distributed through 20th Century Fox, to play Jenny McCarthy's love interest. "Dodgeball" has netted $111 million in the United States and is still growing.

Beverly Hills Film Studios has also signed heartthrob actor Victor Webster to play McCarthy's scoundrel ex-boyfriend in "Dirty Love." Webster is perhaps best known as a star in "Days of Our Lives" and in the feature film "The Chippendale Murders."

Also signed on for "Dirty Love" is actor Lochlyn Munro, co-star of this summer's hit "White Chicks" ($68 million U.S.) distributed by Sony Pictures. Munro's other major works include "Scary Movie," "Jason vs Freddy" and "Unforgiven."

Beverly Hills Film Studios continues casting through Mary Vernieu and is currently in talks with Lara Flynn Boyle and Carmen Electra for two of the female leads.
